SIMON GALLACHER
Simon’s career in music spans 23 years. At the age of 17, he started booking local shows in his home city of Glasgow. After 4 years of working as a freelance local promoter, he went on to hold the diary for the Glasgow Barfly (RIP), then for Ivory Blacks, bringing the city a steady stream of metal, punk, hardcore and rock acts.
In 2009, Simon hit the road from the bottom up. Endless tours of Europe; meat and cheese for days, sleeping on floors / shared Travelodges and extremely long drives eventually paid off, and bigger tours started to confirm. From 2009 – 2014 some of the more established acts he toured with were Black Veil Brides, New Found Glory, Letlive, Four Year Strong, Madball and Ghostface Killah, to name a few.
In 2014, after moving to London, Simon started repping for Live Nation and went into some of the busiest years of his career. Carving a niche as the “metal guy”, tours came in thick and fast. Constantly learning, taking it all in, aiming to get into those arena shows; he worked until he was there!
Off the back of Stormzy’s first ever tour in 2015, Simon began to make a name for himself in the grime / drill / hip-hop world. Soon, these were the genres of shows predominantly filling his diary alongside starting to tour manage UK rock band Creeper.
In 2019, Simon also started working for SJM Concerts, as well as some shows for Metropolis music.
Some stand out moments of Simon’s impressive repping back catalogue include: Full European tour with 50 Cent, arena tours with Wizkid, Davido, D Block Europe, AJ Tracy, Dave and Stormzy, the first Giggs London show and Slayer at Brixton Academy.
Touring with some of the above artists isn’t for everyone. However, there’s only one Scottish, tattooed, metal guy that’s always on these shows… Simon Gallacher!
